The power broom is designed to clean any dirt of debris from the existing pavement surface before spraying asphalt. This provides a clean surface for the asphalt binder to adhere to. In addition, while the seal coat has been constructed, the brooms are used to remove any excess aggregate not embedded into the asphalt binder. The machine introduces hydraulic lifting system to control lifting of the revolving brusher, and introduces a PTO device to take power off from the tractor engine to drive the brush to revolve to do cleaning work.
